Boosting Farmers’ Income and Household Savings: MADANI Mega Agro Sale Program’s Success

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Assurance (KPKM) organized the MADANI Agro Sales program over the past year, which recorded RM93.7 million in sales value. The program involved 74,800 entrepreneurs and attracted 2.9 million visitors. Deputy Minister Arthur Joseph Kurup said the program helped increase producers’ income and delivered price savings of RM27.8 million to 11.6 million households. The program will be expanded to 5,000 sales sessions by October 2024. LPP Chairman Datuk Mahfuz Omar said the MADANI Mega Agro Sale program serves as a platform for entrepreneurs to meet industry players. Mahfuz also spoke about cooperation between LPP and the National Prison Department to provide agricultural skills training to prisoners, which allows them to obtain a skills certificate and continue their studies.
